COVID-19

New International Version Matthew 6:34
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Matthew 6:25-34 New International Version (NIV)

Do Not Worry

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

Give it to God

The Devil tries to steal my/your Joy!

1 Peter 5:8 ESV

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

It’s true. Anytime, and every time, when I begin evangelizing, praying in a strong place and being on fire with the Holy Spirit, it happens. The spiritual battle begins. It’s no coincidence. I began my blog, feeling great about it, then he creeps in and tries to ruin it. He gives negative thoughts, arguments, harsh words and thoughts. He shows the ugly side of things. It happened to me today. He reminded me of my weaknesses in my marriage and my parenting.

But, Jesus said very clearly that Satan comes immediately to steal the Word. He does this through affliction, persecution, the cares of this world, the lust of other things, and the deceitfulness of riches. What is the devil trying to steal from us? THE WORD.

Since God’s Word produces JOY in our hearts, the devil becomes adamant about stealing it. When we read the Word, we realize that it’s God’s will for us to prosper and be in health, love, and kindness, and that produces JOY on the inside of us.

I let it happen today. I let him In. I failed as a wife and a mother in 2 situations, where I became weak and defeated, as evidenced through my actions and behavior. But tonight, I stand strong, and I say “Not tonight Satan”. “Not tonight”. Being able to forgive ourselves and others is of God! The devil doesn’t like that! But tonight, I say sorry. To myself, my husband and my son. And I’ll try harder to be stronger tomorrow.

So, I encourage myself, and I encourage you! Please don’t let the devil defeat you by stealing your joy. Remember, that when you have limited or no joy, you have no strength, and that’s when Satan can come in and rob you of everything you have. Satan has no pursuit when Joy is present. THE JOY OF THE LORD IS MY/YOUR STRENGTH! Put on the armor of God! The helmet, the chestplate and the sword. And remember “Not today satan, not today”.

Thank You For Subscribing. Let’s Blog about Happiness!!

God wants us to be happy. But what does that look like? How do we find happiness? The only way to find happiness is through Him. He created us! God knows us better than we know ourselves. Some of His ways may seem mysterious at first, but here are a few verses that show where true contentment and joy is found—in Him!

Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

James 1:2-3 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

Proverbs 10:28 The hope of the righteous will be gladness, but the expectation of the wicked will perish.

Ecclesiastes 9:7 Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has already accepted your works

Psalm 144:15 Happy are the people whose God is the LORD!

The struggle for happiness is real in a world of business and worry! But the truth of the matter is, we were made to be happy. The Bible tells us so.

John 15:7 tells us, we have his word in us. “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” Therefore Read the word, remember the word, and pray in light of the things you learn in the word. This is how we can find and know true happiness.

The Dream

What a dream (3/4/2020 at 4:23 am), or a visit I should say. It was my Grandmother, the Great Nanny Dory.  Mind you, she was also the one who through her passing taught me that there is nothing to fear in dying, rather eternal life will be granted to us. The greatest gift she could have ever given to me.

Here’s what she said in my dream.  There was a list of things that she was reading to me that I should be doing in this life. It was like a tablet of commandments she was showing me.  She bagan reading the list, but by the time she got to #3 I finally listening and realized the steps were priceless. Realizing that my Grandmother, was paying me a visit. So, I began listening.  Therefore, looking back, I believe the message from #1 and 2, I guess, was to listen carefully to all words of wisdom.  #3 were her words exactly….”have you ever shown so much kindness that you’ve been told you have changed someone’s life?” “Try to do that at least once a day.”  #4 “Have you ever found so much joy that you have wept?  Find that joy at least once a day.”  #5……….I felt pure love and saw her smile. Then, I was awoken by the sound of Dan’s truck warming up before a 4:30 AM departure for work.   He came up to my bed and said goodbye. My Nan’s smile has been in my heart all day. In her humble and kind way, her message was clear. Until we meet again, “Thank you for the visit Nan.”

Jesus is my lover

While praying and thinking of blog ideas over the past year, I started to prepare via blog websites, domains, etc. A few codincidences took place, leading me to my current situation of actually getting this blog started. Which, I am so excited about but can’t believe it is officially happening. Special thanks to my sister cuz, Nicole Costello for inspiring me and guiding my online skills. Christine Grossi Fanizza, for reminding me that although I struggle with life’s day to day at times, I can inspire and beautify the world with my love, words and thoughts. Special thanks to my kind friend Jennifer Norberg, for helping me choose a domain name without even being aware she was doing so. A perfect stranger, who I now consider a wise guiding light, Anthony (Tony) Brown, who I met at the diner after realizing Jen’s words led me to a perfect domain. My parents for instilling my faith and showing how love always prevails. My Husband Daniel, and my beautiful babies who make life perfectly imperfect. Dan, Bradan, Shannon and Sadie, I love you. They have carefully contemplated blog themes and names with me for the past several weeks. To Eileen, my siblings, sister cousins, Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, Godparents and Godchildren and all of my family and friends for loving me for who I am. I thank my mentors, Miss Linda, Miss Fran, Miss Odessa, Miss Dot, Miss Margaret F, Miss Wanda, Miss Marisol, Connie G., Dom, Jenn P, Clare C., Bishop O’Hara, Father John, Father Liam, Father Ambrose, Father Rhey, Deacon Jim, and Mr. McVey. To my angels, your guidance and presence are always a special blessing to me each day. To anyone, I may have missed who has helped me pray, or prayed for me. To “my lover”, Jesus Christ, I will forever glorify your Holy Name. I want the world to know and love you the way I do. I believe in the truth, everything but hatred, kindness, love and miracles. I invite you to join me on my faith journey. Remaining humble and kind, I thank you for respectfully taking the steps with me.
